THE RUNNING REBELS CODE OF CONDUCT ATHLETES

  • Arrive on time to practice and competitions.
  • Come prepared to practice by wearing the proper shoes and attire; bring sweats and a light jacket in case the weather gets chilly; bring a towel or blanket to lay on during warm ups, cool downs, and abdominal workouts.
    Ensure that you are mentally ready to train.
  • Hydrate, eat nutritious food, and get plenty of rest prior to practice and competitions.
  • Follow all USATF and AAU rules.
  • Acknowledge and demonstrate good safety in practices and events.
  • Demonstrate positive, open communication with coaches, other athletes, parents, and officials.
  • Positively support THE RUNNING REBELS members at practice and in competition.
  • No gossiping or slandering others on the team.
  • Respect the THE RUNNING REBELS coaching staff, team members, board members, parent volunteers, officials, other coaches, and opponents.
  • Ensure that when you leave an area (practice or meets), you leave it cleaner than when you arrived.
  • Support volunteer opportunities provided by PAUSATF/AAU.
  • Strive not only to be the best athlete but also the best student; keep your grades up.
  • Do not smoke nor bring alcoholic beverages to any THE RUNNING REBELS track meet, practice or other sponsored events.
  • Foul language will not be tolerated.
  • Be honest & HAVE FUN!

THE RUNNING REBELS CODE OF CONDUCT PARENTS

  • Ensure your athlete arrives on time to practices and competitions.
  • Allow enough time to stay and support all THE RUNNING REBELS team members at competitions.
  • Provide water, nutritious food, and a quiet place to sleep for your athlete.
  • Demonstrate positive, open communication between coaches, athletes, parents, and officials.
  • No gossiping or slandering others on the team.
  • Respect the THE RUNNING REBELS coaching staff, team members, board members, parent, volunteers, officials, other coaches, and opponents.
  • Ensure that when you leave an area (practice or meets), you leave it cleaner than when you arrived.
  • Support volunteer opportunities provided by the THE RUNNING REBELS, PAUSTF, OR AAU.
  • Do not smoke nor bring alcoholic beverages to any practice, meet, or THE RUNNING REBELS sponsored event.
  • Foul language will not be tolerated.
  • No parent sideline coaching. Parents will be dismissed from practices per coach’s decision.
  • Any absence due to sickness must be communicated through a COACH, or Board Member.
  • All Communication will be through TEAMSNAP, no official Running Rebels information is through text communications.
  • All Parents MUST sit in designated Rebels areas at Track Meets.
Steps followed when the Code of Conduct has been violated:

1. Code of Conduct broken
2. Referral
3. Give the referral to the Meet Director
4. Take referrals to Code of Conduct Committee
5. Action will be taken within one week
