Athletic Development: Open to athletes ages 6-18
Boys and Girls of all abilities are invited to join in on all the fun!
Train and compete with the Running Rebels Youth Track and Field Club. A team where kids are first ... winning is second.
Kids will train and compete with kids their same age and ability.
AGES
Boys and Girls ages 6-18
WHEN
The Running Rebels Season starts March - July and may extend if your child makes it to Nationals.
PRACTICES
There are 3 organized practices per week
Monday: Benicia High School 6:00-8:00 PM
Wednesday: Benicia High School 6:00-8:00 PM
Thursday: Benicia High School 6:00-8:00 PM
TRAINING ACTIVITIES
Training activities will include:
- Dynamic and Static Stretching
- Core Work and Body Balance
- Long Runs (ability based)
- Speed Work (short intervals)
- Trail Runs
- Learn about Pacing
- Train for Distances from 100m - 1500m
- Shot Put
- Javelin and Turbo Javelin
- Long Jump
COMPETITION
- Athletes will train to compete in events from 100m to 1500m, Long Jump, Shot Put, Javelin, and Turbo Javelin
UNIFORMS
All registered members will be responsible for purchasing uniforms, which is an additional cost of $250.
Club Membership Fees
There may occasionally be extra costs that are the responsibility of the parent. These include but are not limited to:
- $465 - PAUSATF Entry Fees for Regular Season Track Meets, use of practice facility, club insurance, training equipment , and administration costs
- $20 - USATF Youth Membership Fees
- $15 - AAU Membership Fees
*High School Athletes*
- High school fees are $250.
- High school athletes will also pay the cost of all meets they attend.
- If an athlete does not participate in high school and participates in Running Rebels track club all season, they will be responsible for entire registration fee of $500.
Total fees are $750. There is a Sibling Discount: 25% off of registration.
